Tavistock U14s 43 Liskeard U14s 0 ALTHOUGH Liskeard started well, Tavistock soon got into their stride. Josh Evans? tackle and Ollie Larcombe?s pick up led to Sean Hill passing to Miles Ross who crossed the line from 15m to score under the posts. Sean Hill?s conversion made it 7 - 0. Five minutes later, following a good move along the line, Dan Scott scored Tavistock?s second try, again converted by Sean Hill to make it 14 - 0. Liskeard responded, but Tavistock were unrelenting and always threatened to score. Liskeard held firm for the rest of the half which was, unfortunately, marred by the sending off of a Tavistock player. Even with 14 men, the second half was all Tavistock with only Liskeard?s stout defence keeping the score down. After just 5 minutes, a lovely move led to an overlap and Fraser Carter scored near the posts, Sean Hill impressively converting the try. Shortly after, following some excellent rucking, Karl Rowe fed Sean Hill to score in the corner. Fraser Carter, again on the overlap, scoring in the corner after a pin point pass from Ollie Wheeldon. Tavistock?s sixth try came from a superb solo run by team captain Karl Rowe. With the clock running down, Josh Evans broke away being held up just on the try line. The ball broke loose and came out for Will Glover, sidestepping two players, to score his debut try and make the final score 43 - 0. This was an impressive display by Tavistock with the whole team showing commitment and technique. They have now recorded four consecutive wins, conceding only one try in the process.
