MAKE your tea break count later this month by supporting Britain's biggest tea party, Tea at 3, which returns to Okehampton.
The event in aid of Hospiscare will raise vital funds for the charity's work in the local community.
Hospiscare say this year's big brew-up, on Friday June 18, at 3pm will be bigger and better than ever.
Hospiscare fundraiser Joanne Wearne has lots of ideas on how people from the Okehampton area can get involved in the event: 'Tea at 3 is a simple and fun way to raise money for Hospiscare, either at work, school or home.
'You could ask friends, family or colleagues to make a donation for a tea party in your home, garden or at work, or hold a tea party with an unusual theme or in an unusual place.
'Why not ask your school if they would like to hold an event, or get your local café involved?' she said.
Last year thousands of tea parties took place across the UK in many different locations, such as on lifeboats, up ladders, in trees and even on a tractor.
Jane Asher is supporting the event and has created a special tea cake made with Tetley Tea.
Joanne continued: 'This is a great way to support the work of Hospiscare in your local community. By getting involved you will help us continue to provide high quality care and support to people with life-threatening illness.'
Anyone who wants to get involved can download a Tea at 3 fundraising pack, which includes a tea quiz from Hospiscare's website - http://www.hospiscare-devon.org.uk">www.hospiscare-devon.org.uk
