It was not until the half hour when Tawton settled things through a frustrated Rob Board 40 yard rocket, leaving the keeper in no man?s land. Tawton were then on a high and took control of the game. Then five minutes before time Michael Tapp?s 15-yard strike, finding its way through a congested penalty area, put Tawton in the lead. In the second half, Tawton struggled to get into their stride and this allowed Beer several chances on goal, but good defending from the back four kept Beer from equalising.
