Bodmin Trophies Duchy division 4
Calstock 1
Mary Tavy 5
THE venue for this match was switched to Mary Tavy due to problems with the Calstock pitch and for the second week the outcome was victory for a Tavy side currently topping the table.
Calstock put in a brave performance and on this sort of form must see themselves pull away from the bottom ranks. They made the early running determined to avenge the week before defeat and at half-time their plan was working magnificently, going in one goal to the good thanks to a close-range effort.
Mary Tavy made two changes during the interval which turned out to be an inspired decision by manager Lee Piper.
Alan Grylls saved Tavy's blushes with a long-range effort which caught the opposing keeper off his line. Shortly after, Shaun James slotted home from the spot after Dan Brockington was upended and Tavy were beginning to find their feet.
Grylls extended the lead from close in and James Coole bagged his 16th of the season to make it four.
Scott Dent completed the scoreline with a shot from the edge of the area which found the corner of the Calstock net to mirror last week's result.
Calstock never gave up hope and played some entertaining football but could not break down the home side.
