Emily Attfield was first in the Year 6 girls and Pete Jarman was first in the Year 8 boys and they were both presented with a cup and medal.
The triathlon included a swim in the Bude sea pool so they wore wetsuits for this part. After the swim there was a run from the beach up the the Bude downs for the second leg of the triathlon.
Emily and Pete quickly took off their wetsuits and then got on their mountain bikes for the second leg of the race on the hilly Bude downs. Finally they did the running leg of the triathlon on the Bude downs.
Emily and Pete both train regularly with Tavistock Athletic Club and Tavistock Swimming Club and would like to thank all the coaches for their help. Pete would also like to thank Derek of Dartmoor Cycles who came to his rescue at the last minute when he had a problem with his bike.
