Tavistock Ladies 6
Paignton Ladies 0
TAVISTOCK Ladies' football team took to the pitch fielding only 10 players, player manager Aileen Ismail out with a golfing injury.
But they came out fighting. Rachael Galvin's first touch of the ball sent Louise Evans on her way to chip coolly over Paignton's keeper.
Within minutes Evans was off on a solo run to find the back of the net again for Tavistock.
Evans had still not finished. After a good ball from Donna Burch she went around the keeper to claim her hat-trick within the first ten minutes.
Tavistock defence was solid and kept Paignton at bay.
The second half saw Tavistock go ahead again after Janie Sivyer and Julie McGowan linked up in midfield to feed Evans who slotted in her fourth.
The fifth goal came from Burch who crossed it in from the right.
Tavistock worked as a team, running rings around Paignton and soon found their sixth goal with Evans again beating the keeper.
Tavistock had lots of chances but Paignton's keeper showed new-gained confidence to keep the score at that level.
Lady of the match: Kirsty Jones.
