PARKING in Tavistock is under the spotlight as a new survey has been launched to help plan future management of the service.

West Devon Borough Council, in partnership with Tavistock Town Council, Tavistock BID, Tavistock and District Chamber of Commerce and Devon County Council, is conducting a survey to gain residents’ and visitors’ views on parking facilities and availability within the town.

The questions cover matters such as car park signage, pricing and availability, as well as asking residents how often they use the car parks and how long they park for.

Residents, commuters and visitors are all encouraged to take part in the survey, which also includes sections for members of the public to submit their own ideas for solving the perennial problem.
