Tavistock CC v Tiffin Tits

TAVISTOCK Cricket Club entertained Tiffin Tits for the annual all-day game with the opposition making their 30th visit.

They started brightly but batsman that got in got out when they were looking set for a good score. Tavistock's bowlers did well with Jamie Stephens the pick of them with 10 overs for 4-20, well backed up by J Smith and J Newton.

Tavistock appeared to be cruising along to the target of 140 with Rhys Davies and Aaron Churchill and Andy Gauler taking the score to 100.

A major collapse followed before Simon Gliddon and Phil Stephens took Tavistock over the line for a one wicket win. Burrows and Patel each took four wickets for the opposition.
