A GROUP of friends from Tavistock pedalled more than 100-miles this weekend in order to raise funds for two charities close to their hearts.
The determined cyclists began their two-and-a-half day challenge from Ilfracombe on Friday (September 8).
Before they set off, the group met at Tavistock Golf Club where they were greeted by friends and family who wished them luck.
The group said they were delighted to have completed the challenge and were pleased to have raised funds for the Marie Curie charity and the Derriford Hospital Kidney Unit.
Several of those taking part have had, or are having, first hand experience with both of these charities that have provided care or support to their loved ones.
The fundraisers are still collecting donations and so far have a combined total of around £4,000.
