STUDENTS from the Upper Dance Company at Tavistock College had the fantastic opportunity to take part in a dance workshop on stage at the Theatre Royal, Plymouth recently, led by the Rambert Dance Company.
As well as undertaking a workshop with one of the company’s principal dancers, the students also had a chance to tour the whole theatre, including visiting the dressing rooms and backstage area. They also went to the theatre’s sister venue TR2, a production and learning centre, where they saw sets being made and costumes being created for the Rambert 90th anniversary show which was being performed at the Theatre Royal last week.
A spokesperson for the school said: ‘All the students were brilliant and were a real credit to the college.
‘We are so lucky to have this opportunity, all because we are now in partnership with the Theatre Royal.’
