TWO food producers from the Okehampton area will be among those tempting the taste buds with a fantastic array of food at this year?s Saltram Yuletide Food and Craft Fair.
Dartmoor Happy Hogs from Whiddon Down and Curworthy Cheese and Vivian?s Honey from Jacobstowe are among more than 30 producers from across the South West at the event.
The event taking place at Saltram House, Plymouth, next month has been organised jointly by the National Trust and Taste of the West.
On offer during the day will be venison, organic beef, free range turkey and pork to taste and buy, and refreshments will range from sparkling cider, fruit punch, Exmoor wine and Plymouth Gin.
For the first time a hamper wrapping service will be on hand. Taste of the West will have a selection of baskets available for customers to pack with goodies of their choice.
A demonstration kitchen sponsored by the Heritage Range, Liskeard will feature Gidleigh Park head chef Michael Caines at 11am on Saturday with other top chefs performing throughout the weekend. Their dishes will all be created from the local produce at the event.
The Yuletide Food and Craft Fair is on Saturday 6, and Sunday 7, December from 10.30am-5pm.
