DELICIOUS food and drinks from West Devon will be among many delights on offer at a special food and craft fair being held at Saltram House this weekend.

The Saltram Yuletide Food and Craft Fair is organised jointly by the National Trust and Taste of the West.

It features more than 30 food and drink producers from around the South West who will be displaying goods ranging from puddings and pies to cider and sausages.

West Devon exhibitors include Hogs Bottom Garden Delights of Tavistock with their chutneys, jelly and jams, Dartmoor Happy Hogs from Whiddon Down with their free-range meats and Curworthy Cheeses with their delicious traditional cheese and honey.

A hamper-wrapping service will be on hand for visitors making up Christmas gifts and a selection of baskets will also be provided.

Top chef Michael Caines, of Gidleigh Park, will be in the demonstration kitchen at 11am on Saturday, and other local chefs will be appearing throughout the weekend, all using local produce to create their dishes.

Hot food will be available from Dartmoor Happy Hogs, Well Hunt Meat, Somerset Ducks and farmer Phil Bond, and live entertainment will be provided on both days of the event.

The Yuletide Food and Craft Fair is open between 10.30am and 5pm on Saturday and Sunday ? admission £2, under 16s free.
