CALLINGTON Amateur Drama Society will present two radio plays by David Tristram at the Prim Raf Theatre over the next two weeks.
'Last Tango in Little Grimley' and 'Last Panto in Little Grimley' will be performed tomorrow (Friday) and Saturday.
The two plays tell of the plight of the local amateur drama society, which is in crisis. The membership has dwindled to four — and the audiences aren't much bigger —and if they don't come up with the rent money soon they're going to be thrown out.
'There's only one thing that sells tickets these days,' argues Gordon, the chairman, 'Sex'. Thus begins the chaotic and hilarious build up to an evening of extraordinary home-grown drama – an evening the locals will never forget.
Tickets priced at £6 each are available from the Box Office at Noakes, Hambermehl and Kerr opticians in Fore Street, Callington or reserved for collection on the door by emailing [email protected]">[email protected] or phoning 01579 383717.
