The South West?s rich maritime history is to be celebrated with a tall ship festival taking place at Morwellham Quay over the May 28 Bank Holiday. ?Tall Ships on the Tamar? will see the quay play host to a number of historic ships, re-enactment groups, musicians and new exhibitions which will recount the stories of those involved in the shipping trade on the Tamar during the 18th and 19th centuries. As part of the celebrations the quay will also be hosting two evening concerts on Sunday and Monday evening which will feature local musicians Seth Lakeman and Mike Silver.
