DOWSER Rodney Smith will be giving a talk at Brentor Village Hall on Saturday March 26 on Earth Energies around Dartmoor.

The talk will be for the St Michael de Rupe restoration fund.  The Church of St Michael de Rupe is said to sit on the Michael and Mary energy lines, along with ancient sites such as St. Michael's Mount and Avebury.

Mr Smith, a former police chief inspector, has been dowsing energy lines around Brentor and Dartmoor for many years. After retiring from the police he spent many years as one of the country's top woodcarvers before developing lung cancer.

It was while he was recuperating from his illness that he took up rambling and discovered his ability as a dowser.

He is now a member of the Devon Dowsers and the British Society of Dowsers and spends much of his spare time researching the science of dowsing and the nature of Earth Energy.
