I AM normally a fairly calm person who keeps cool about most issues, but I need to voice my anger.
I love Dartmoor and love to walk my chocolate Labrador on the beautiful moor. A popular walk of ours is Pew Tor. Last Friday we went to our usual parking place just under Pew Tor and were stunned to see what looked like a rubbish dump.
Within 20 paces of my car were about 15 pieces of litter of various sorts, tin cans, plastic bottles, crisp packets, plastic fruit containers and, worst of all, a dirty nappy!
I cleared up all the mess which filled a supermarket carrier bag. A local horse rider passed by and said, 'You don't often see that,' meaning someone cleaning up other inconsiderate people's mess.
Please could I appeal to everyone who goes up onto our wonderful moor to follow the Country Code: Take your rubbish home!
