IT?S time to push a pram again ? the 27th Sticklepath Pram Race takes to the road on Sunday, October 2. The quirky annual charity event requires teams to set out from Reddaways Yard, South Zeal and visit the five pubs along the route to the finish line. Teams must consist of five members all of whom must be aged 18 or over, one team member must remain in the pram at all times as the competitors travel between pubs. The rules require at least one drink ? alcoholic or non-alcoholic ? to be consumed at each of the five participating hostelries. St Austell Brewery will also be supplying liquid refreshments at the start. As always there are a host of illustrious prizes to be fought over by competitors. The awards include the Construction Trophy (pram to be created completely from scratch); fancy dress prize; fastest male and female team, the most senior entrant and the best individual fancy dress will receive the Jason McCaffery memorial award. All teams must assemble for registration at Reddaways Yard, South Zeal by 11.15am on Sunday, October 2, for the race start time of 12noon.
