A WEEKEND of special events and activities where people can experience stunning wildlife and unique habitats is being organised by Dartmoor National Park from September 24 to 26.

Find out more about the wildlife of Dartmoor, discover the moor?s night life, have fun with fungi and enjoy a fascinating farm wildlife trail, suitable for all the family.

There are guided walks and an opportunity to join park rangers for some first-hand experience of the essential conservation work which helps to support wildlife habitats.

On September 25 there will be a special autumnal walk at Lydford Gorge and a woodland ramble at Buckland Abbey hosted by the National Trust.

The following day keen bird watchers can join local ornithologist Richard Hibbert for a three-hour walk to enjoy the Birds of Burrator.
