THE award-winning Fishleigh Estate, which plays host to the BBC Springwatch team, is offering residents the chance to take a look around as part of Devon Celebration of Food festival. There will be three guided walks around Fishleigh this Saturday, catering for a variety of interests. Farm manager Peter Walter will be giving people a general tour of the estate. Peter Robinson, who looks after birdboxes on the estate and scouts for the BBC camera crews, will be giving a guided walk with an ornithological element. Martin Summers from Tavistock will be concentrating on the trees and flora and fauna at Fishleigh. Booking is essential, so to find out if places are left, please ring 01837 810124 or the Moorland Farm Shop on 01647 231666. The walks cost £12.50 per person, to include lunch. The walks are just one of a range of events taking place across the county during October to mark Devon Celebration of Food Month.
