AN OLD school bus, used to take pupils to the Clinton Church of England School in Merton from 1962 to 1973, will be one of the stars of a vintage vehicle rally and summer fair in the village on Saturday, July 12. The bus, a 1949 Beford OB Duple, will be providing a nostalgic ride to bring back fond or not-so-fond memories. As well as more than 70 vehicles, there will be barbecues, cream teas, bouncy castle, stalls, car boot sale, a majorette demonstration and other entertainment. The event runs from noon to 5pm.
