THE third running of the Treggy Seven, organised by the Launceston Road Runners, took place earlier this month.

The race started from Launceston football ground and covers seven miles on country lanes just outside the town.

Four Tavistock Athletic Club members took part. Rob and Eunice Moule finished 27th and 11th respectively in their age group, and Pete Bazeley was seventh in his but it was Jim Cole who led the way for Tavistock.

Jim's in fine form and ran a terrific race, averaging just more than five and a half minutes per mile. He won comfortably, finishing almost two minutes ahead of the next runner. He also set a new course record.

Those who like to run like Jim or improve their fitness, are welcome to join Tavistock Athletic Club members on a Tuesday and Thursday evening.
