Dawlish Ladies . . . . . . . . . . . . 3

Okehampton Columbines . . . . .1

DAWLISH went ahead in the first half against the run of play. They withstood a great deal of pressure from Okehampton and were fortunate to benefit with a goal after the direction of the ball was misjudged by both teams. Okehampton equalised shortly afterwards.

Netty Collett tackled tirelessly for Okehampton as did Jane Jones until she was substituted for an injury when Karen Sachon came on to make her first team debut.

Although they lost on the day, there was plenty for Okehampton to take from the game. Grace Thorpe, playing centre forward, had a number of good shots at goal and it was only the fine play of the Dawlish keeper that kept her from scoring.

Both sides showed great determination but the breaks went with Dawlish who scored their final goal in the dying minutes of the game.
