A LIFTON restaurant has received an accolade for its use of local produce.
Taste of the West has named Tinhay Mill as a bronze award winner in its restaurant category.
The restaurant has received a host of awards since it opened six years ago, including those from Michelin and AA.
Paul Wilson, who runs Tinhay Mill with his wife Margaret, said he was delighted with this latest honour, which recognised the use of local produce and proof of traceability.
?We came third out of 600 restaurants so we are pretty chuffed,? said Paul, who sources most of his vegetables from Lifton Strawberry Fields and meat and cheeses from Tavistock suppliers.
?This area is gaining quite a reputation for its quality of restaurants and we regularly get people travelling over from Plymouth and further afield to eat here.?
Margaret Wilson, who is also head chef, has also been invited to have an entry in the first addition of The International Who?s Who of Chefs.
