A comprehensive Government survey about many of the services run by West Devon Borough Council has been sent out to around 2,500 residents. The questionnaire is asking people to rate the importance of a number of council services and asks how satisfied people are with them. The results of the survey will be used by both the council and the Government to improve services. To save costs, the survey has been sent out on West Devon's behalf by Teignbridge District Council as they are also sending the same survey to their own residents. Daniel Bates, assistant chief executive for the council, said he hoped that everyone would send back their questionnaire. 'This is an ideal opportunity for our residents to get their message across. The results of the survey will be made widely available when they are published next year. 'Crucially, the results will be used by the council to drive forward improvements in services.' The survey has been sent out with a prepaid envelope so that responses can be sent back free of charge. The deadline for sending back the questionnaire is Monday November 27.
