BLUE Peter presenter Zoë Salmon visited Kelly College Prep with her film crew last week and totally surprised Phoebe Jourdan, in her classroom, by presenting her with a Blue Peter badge. The children had participated in an RNLI day last month to raise awareness of the important work that the RNLI does. The children played beach volleyball, had a hula competition and bought ice-creams at break-time. There was a ?design a surfboard? competition for the children to enter, the winner being presented with a surfboard. Phoebe wrote to Blue Peter and told them about the fundraising ideas and explained the process she had gone through to make her own surfboard design. Richard Stevenson, headmaster, said: ?It was a wonderful time for the children but especially Phoebe. It is always delightful to see how enthusiastic the children are when it comes to learning about, and helping charities that the school supports.?
