IT was recently reported that some doctors want to charge £10 for missed appointments.
The very concept of an appointment system to see a doctor really is nonsensical, bearing in mind that many patients never see their doctor at their appointed time in any case.
Surgeries should return to the old system where everyone waited their turn and this would eradicate all complaints about missed appointments because there wouldn't be any!
