TWENTY people successfully rose to the challenge and did a 40ft tree jump at Gulworthy last week to help those with mental health problems.

Members of STEP, a Devon specialist team for early psychosis, and their friends from the Cornwall early intervention team, which jointly form the Across the Boundaries group, took part in the sponsored tree jump at the recently opened Tree Surfers centre.

The aim was to raise money for ongoing therapeutic activities for young people with mental health problems and also to establish an exciting new allotment project through links with Tamar Grow Local.

The group has expressed thanks to all who gave sponsorship and to Tree Surfers for its support.

Anyone who would like to donate any equipment for the allotment project or make a financial contribution should call Michele Sephton of STEP on 01822 610159 or Sarah Clarke from the Cornwall Early Intervention Team 01208 251372.
