Duchy One
St Mawgan 1
Gunnislake 5
ON five minutes Andy Wakem was only inches from putting Gunnislake ahead. The young striker just failed to get on the end of a Joe Pulley centre.
Neat interplay on the right led to Pulley producing a good centre which Lee Underwood met with an impressive header to open the scoring on 20 minutes.
Within five minutes the lead was 3-0.
Goal number two came when, following a foul on Gary Underwood, Pulley produced a fine strike from 30 yards.
Wakem added a third when he ran on to a Mark Warwick through-ball to fire home from 20 yards.
St Mawgan reduced the arrears midway through the second half but this proved to be no more than a consolation as two strikes from Lee Underwood completed the scoring and his hat-trick.
Firstly, leading scorer Underwood converted from a tight angle having been played in by Andy Southcott. Next he struck home from just outside the penalty area.
Moments from time a Paul Tomkies' cross found the onrushing Steve Gaggini whose efforts flew narrowly wide.
