WATER Aid is the chosen charity for this month's meeting of the Tavistock Acoustic Café at The Wharf this month.

Each month this local event supports a worthy charity and this time is no exception. So far this year the Acoustic Café has raised well over a thousand pounds for mainly local projects while providing a showcase for local artists.

As always there is an abundance and variety of talent from the Russian singer/guitarist Dmitry Babichev to All Change an acapella choir. Also appearing are the singer/songwriters Harriet Jones and the very funny Adelia. For the lovers of folk the popular Moor Reason band, balanced with originals from Christine Kelly and the Banelions. To round off the evening in true festive fashion are the Dodgy Jammers.

Acoustic Café takes place on Thursday, December 15, doors open at 7pm, the music starts at 8pm. Bar and barbecue, box office 01822 611166.
