OKEHAMPTON Area Supporters' Group for Exeter Leukaemia Fund (ELF) have expressed thanks to the owners of Orchard Barton Shoot at Thrushelton, who donated funds to the organisation recently.

Mr and Mrs Yeo raised £1, 532 for the new support group in Okehampton when they held shooting parties and sweepstakes, as well as a prize draw.

Okehampton Area Supporters' Group chairman John Barton said: 'It is heartening to see that country sporting people from all over Britain and abroad come to the West Country, not only enhancing our economy, but also giving so generously to a worthwhile local charity.

'We are looking for people to be involved in the new group who can come along to our meetings to offer as much support as possible.'
