THE fabulous sounds of the Electric Light Orchestra will be recreated at The Wharf next month (August) when the ELO Experience will present their tribute show to the great, original band of the 70s and 80s. A group of five experienced musicians have joined together to form The ELO Experience. Andy Brown, who has already enjoyed a successful solo career, is on rhythm guitar and he also provides lead vocals. He makes an amazing Jeff Lynne ?sound-alike? as he fulfils his ambition to play in a band, which celebrates the music of the Electric Light Orchestra. Andy Piper, another long-standing ELO fan, who is known as ?Mr Music?, provides keyboard, special effects and vocals. Regarded as one of the best high voices in the music business, Pete Allison is bass guitarist and vocalist. Another superb vocalist and guitarist is Dave Wilkinson and the group is completed by Tony Lawson on drums and percussion. Tony is another true professional whose successful career has taken him all around the world. The ELO Experience will be performing at The Wharf, Tavistock at 8 pm on August 4. Tickets cost £10 in advance and £12 on the night. A barbecue and late bar will be available from 7pm. More details from the box office on 01822 611166.
