Vanguard Cup semi-final Ivybridge Town U12s 0 Tavistock Town U12s 2 THIS was a good game between the top two in the league and a credit to both sets of players. Both sides had good spells in the first half but it was Tavistock who broke the deadlock in the 20th minute after a through ball by Kieran Bryant found Josh Midsom-Holmes who slotted home from close range. The first ten minutes of the second half was all Ivybridge. Only good defending from Hallam Bourton, Matt White, Ed Longden and Bradley Crack, with Rob Hill in goal pulling off the save of the month to tip a long-range shot onto the crossbar, kept them out. Tavistock lifted their game and Peter Page in midfield slipped the ball through to Sam Turner who scored his 45th goal of the season to make the final score 2-0 to Town. This was a superb squad performance and with the league title already won has given Tavistock a good chance of the double. Man of the match: Josh Midsom-Holmes.
