IT'S been a great year for top weightwatcher Hannah Wood from Princetown who more than surpassed her goal when she lost almost eight stone in time for her wedding day. The determined 29-year-old joined Horrabridge Weightwatchers 16 months before her wedding after too many takeaways took their toll. As a busy mother with a full-time job, Hannah said she lapsed into snacking because it was hard to find the time to cook, but her old habits have changed for the better: 'I found it was easier to grab something for me rather than cook even though I would cook for my son,' she said. 'For general health reasons I joined Weightwatchers but there are so many benefits to losing all the weight. I have 100% more energy and I can go out wearing fancy clothes. 'You do not realise how large you are getting until you see a picture of yourself one day.' Hannah was also diagnosed with poly-cystic ovary syndrome which affects fertility. Related to weight problems, the diagnosis gave her an added incentive to stick to her new diet. Healthy eating has been the answer for 6ft tall Hannah, who has dropped from a size 28 to a size 14. Such is her success that she was tipped to become a leader at the Weightwatchers' group but another piece of good news has put that on hold — Hannah has recently learned that she is to become a mother again. 'Just when I got my figure back I find out I am pregnant,' joked Hannah.
