TAVISTOCK U12s got off to a flyer in their first match of the season by scoring seven tries against Plymstock.
The first two tries were identical and started from good rucking from forwards Stephen, Chris and Will G before the ball was passed all the way across the field by the backs for wing Will P to score.
The other wing, James, then had a good run down the touchline before forwards Cameron and Callum recycled the ball to Wilf who scored in the corner. Scrum half George then broke free before offloading the ball to Laurence and Ethan and then on to Bernie who ran through the middle to score.
Wilf then added two further tries either side of half time before Plymstock re-grouped and began to put up a much tougher defence.
Despite good runs from Lily and Alex, Plymstock held Tavistock for almost 15 minutes before Ben had a strong run up the wing and offloaded to Max who went into touch just short of the line. Callum won the ball from the subsequent opposition line-out and went over from five yards to score in the corner.
