Camborne 2 Okehampton 1sts 3 THE game started slowly, with the ball staying in the middle of the pitch. Okehampton had early chances with Mark Parsons, whose shots were just out of the reach of Stuart Jarvis. Camborne took the lead and doubled it soon after — it could have been worse but for good defending and two goal-line clearances by Colin Lethbridge. Two-nil down at half time, Okehampton looked tired and out of the game. Ten minutes into the second half Joff Stevens played a great through ball and Parsons volleyed home to put the visitors back in it. Tim Morgan then fed Parsons who beat a defender before slotting past the keeper. Okehampton were then given a lift as Camborne pushed forward, Stevens again played a brilliant through ball for Simon Bourne to go clean through and beat the goalkeeper. Okehampton played for time and Pete Simm made two good saves and Okehampton's back three looked extremely comfortable. Tom Forrester and Jarvis both did well to hold on to the ball in the last minutes. Their first win of the year was a much needed one, with everybody giving all they had. Men of the match: Mark Parsons and Joff Stevens.
