ITEMS to be auctioned for a cancer charity in Tavistock next month have just gone on display in the town.

The dinner and charity auction, to be held at the Red & Black Club, will be attended by famous jockey Bob Champion — all proceeds from the event will be donated to the Bob Champion Cancer Trust.

The lots to go under the hammer include horse racing prints and photos of Red Rum, Aldaniti, Masterminded, Desert Orchid and Kauto Star, signed by famous jockeys and trainers.

There is also a garden seat donated by Morwellham Furniture, a case of wine from Charles Steevenson and a full car valet, inside and outside, donated by Paul Andrews from Tavistock Valeting and Trailer Hire.

The lots are currently on display at Morwellham Furniture in Pixon Land, next to Tyremarks and Tavistock Hire Centre.

The Upsides for Autism dinner and auction will be held on November 7.
