LAST week, the children of Lydford enjoyed a sunny afternoon of egg hunting.

It all took place around the ancient castle of Lydford and around the grounds of Lydford’s other castle, the Castle Inn.

In teams, the children had to find chocolate eggs as well as puzzle pieces. Extra prizes were available to the first team to fit their puzzle together to make an egg.

If enough chocolate hadn’t already been consumed, everyone enjoyed chocolate crispy cakes and fairy cakes to finish.

Well done to everyone who took part and particularly well done to the red team (and parents) who completed the fiendishly difficult puzzle challenge!
