A RAMBLE organised by the Buckland Parish Neighbourhood Plan Group saw around 45 people from the parish enjoy a day in the brilliant sunshine on Sunday.

The ramble took in RAF Harrowbeer, the Crapstone War Memorial, Buckland Chapel, Buckland Abbey and Drake's Leat at Clearbrook, with expert guides giving the history associated with each location.

En route, lunch was provided by the local NSPCC and Buckland Bakery and sponsorship by the Tamar Valley AONB paid for transport.

The day ended with a talk on birdlife in the parish and a gentle walk from Clearbrook back to Yelverton.

l The next Neighbourhood Plan event will be this Saturday at Yelverton Church Hall between 10am and 3pm.

Anyone interested in housing can drop in and talk to experts on self build, affordable housing, modifying houses or opportunities to 'upsize or downsize' to better suit their needs.
