THE clouds parted and the sun came out as ideal conditions greeted the runners for the eighth edition of the Peter Tavy Plod trail.

Records tumbled in both the mens and ladies field and the race, which takes place as part of the Peter Tavy Village Fayre, saw young and old take on the challenging course which climbs to the aptly named Stephens Grave before winding its way back to the Village.

Organisers thanked all the runners, marshals and Brooks running, Launceston sports and therapy centre, sponsors by the Original Pasty House for making it a great day.

Winner Jim Cole; first female Jo Meek; first male vet Richard Drage; first female veteran Clare Waters; first junior male Jordan Channon; first junior female Freya Dickinson; first local runner Chris Gardner; first male fun run Jim Blackford; first female fun run Ella Waters.
