LYDFORD'S summer fayre takes place on Saturday, July 26 — featuring a whole host of activities for visitors and local residents. All the fun of the fayre starts at noon on Lydford Sports Field. There will be a dog show courtesy of Wingletang Rescue Sanctuary, stalls selling cakes, plants, bric-a-brac and books. Games for all the family include wobbly bowls, skittles and a tombola. An all day barbecue will serve locally made beef and lamb burgers and there will also be cream teas available along with the ever popular beer tent selling local ales and cider. The draw and prize giving takes place at 4pm.
