BOTH Oxfam shops in Tavistock were buzzing on Red Nose Day as staff held a 'busk fest'.

The shops offered a range of musical entertainment throughout the day as the finale to the 2011 Comic Relief Appeal.

The Busk Fest raised more than £500 from donations from the appreciative public in both shops.

Staff at Oxfam expressed thanks to all the musicians who gave their time to play. Among many others were the Kit Hillbillies, Blended Quartet, Moor Reason, Elizabeth Jackson, Barbara Fine, Jeff and Cheryl, Mark Barnwell, Gadjo Guitares, Felicity from the Cuckoo Collective and DJ XL who played requests for donations on his decks.

Anyone who would like to volunteer with Oxfam should call Val on 01822 613901 or Jacky on 01822 615534.
