BRIDESTOWE made its mark at last week's North Devon Show, held at Umberleigh, with some top results in the cattle ring.

One of the premier agricultural shows in the area, the event this year had a special visitor, as Prime Minister David Cameron paid a visit.

Abi Marshall, who was at the show with her Guernsey calf Kenvin Lynn, celebrated winning the championship rosette with an opportunity to meet Mr Cameron when he toured the cattle show rings.

And Leslie Rockett went home with the rosette for dairy supreme champion with his cow Greenway Shamrock.

The weather was kind for this year's event in contrast with last year, when the show had to be cancelled due to a rain-sodden showground.
