KELLY College pupils recently secured a string of high marks in their Easter LAMDA (London College of Music and Dramatic Arts) Examinations, with many students securing 90 marks or above.

Some of the most impressive results from the mime category were by Amy Lloyd, Kate Blackwell, Rebekah Hainsworth and Daisy Waggett, who were awarded 94 marks for their superb performances at grade 8.

Furthering these impressive results, Harry Dunlop and Hector Haffenden both achieved 90 marks. Kelly students Benjamin Hancox and Tobias Clifford-Flower also shone at Grade 7 with scores of 94.

Alec Hampton-Smith also received a score of 90. Other students to excel in the mime category were Molly Sellers, Selwin Hulme-Teague and Annastasia Lee, who each achieved marks of 90 or above at Grade 6, 5 and 4 respectively.

A number of students also sat examinations in public speaking and several shone on stage. These included Oliver Hancox and Jack Cooper. They achieved marks of 90 and 94 respectively at grade 8. Louisa Butcher and Ognjen Lukacevic also excelled. They sat grade 6 examinations and were both awarded over 90 marks. Trystan Hopgood was another outstanding public speaker. He was awarded 90 marks for his performance at grade 5.

Acting was another category in which the Kelleians performed extremely well. Lauren Ross and Elizabeth Duncan were both awarded 92 at grade 7. Two more students, Henry Searle and Jonathan Cull, achieved marks of over 90, this time at grade 5. Another collection of high marks was achieved at grade 4; William Bennett, Verity Germon, Harry Donnelly and Cameron McKie all achieved marks of 96, 92, 90 and 90.

The final exams were in verb and prose. Molly Sellers secured a mark of 90 at grade 5 and Richard Bennett earned the same mark at grade 4. At grade 3, Toby Coulton was awarded 92.
