AN INDUCTION training course for teaching assistants was recently held at Whitchurch Primary School.

Teaching assistants from Tavistock and District learning community attended the induction course, covering topics such as numeracy, literacy and special needs.

Mrs Allen, a higher level teaching assistant, led and co-ordinated the training.

This is one of many opportunities where local schools gather together to train and develop staff.
