TWO sixth formers from Mount House School have been awarded scholarships to go to the secondary schools of their choice when they leave in the summer.

Meg Hughes-Chamberlain from Chagford has received a music scholarship to Bryanston School, near Blandford in Dorset.

She is one of the two head choristers of the school's chapel choir, and has won several classes at the Saltash Music Festival.

Meg represented the school last term, playing hockey in the 2nd VII, and was in the U12 rounders and netball squads last year.

Zach Spiers, this year's head boy, has won a sports scholarship to King's College Taunton.

Zach is an outstanding sportsman and has played 1st XV and 1st VII rugby for two years. This year he is captain of the rugby team.

He captained the Devon Prep Schools' team and was recently selected to play number eight for the South West Prep School Barbarians team.

He competed at the National Prep Schools Athletics Championships and is a member of both the school cross-country and golf teams.
