THE ladies' teams from Okehampton Golf Club have had varied success this month.
In the Mail on Sunday competition Penny Deakin, Dawn Phillott, Marcia Holwill and Marcia Jones had another excellent result, beating Torquay at home 3 1/2 to 1/2.
They next play West Cornwall at home in the fifth round of this competition.
Marcia Holwill and Marcia Jones have won through to the third round of the Daily Mail Foursomes. They had a fine victory away to Torquay, winning 2 and 1.
They also played in the Willes Little Cup at RND against Holsworthy, and after a hard fought battle lost the match on the 17th hole.
The silver President's trophy team and the bronze Sheelah Creasey team have not fared well. The President's team lost 7-0 at East Devon and the Creasey ladies lost 7-0 at Elfordleigh.
