A PARAMEDIC was on hand to give aid to Tavistock College students — thankfully not because of any injuries but to give them some useful career advice.
NHS Exeter-based paramedic Dave Dungay, talked to Year 10 BTEC public services students, as well as those in Year 9, giving them career information and guidance.
An ambulance tour and overview of the main equipment carried started the session, followed by an open discussion where students had opportunities to ask questions.
Neil Hosking from the PE faculty said: 'Dave Dungay, gave us a fantastic look into his life as a paramedic, along with some useful tips about entering the profession.
'Events such as this bring the curriculum to life for many students and we hope to develop this partnership further during the coming year.'
