FOUR students from Kelly College in Tavistock put on a superb concert for the Parkinson's Disease Society at the Emmanuel Church in Plymouth recently.

Clara Glossop, Rebekah Hainsworth, Beth Barnes and Sophie Whitfield, who are all fourth formers, performed a range of solos, duets, trios and a quartet and each had one of their own compositions played.

Between them there were three singers, two violinists, a saxophonist, flautist, clarinettist and a pianist.

The students, tutored by head of music and composer Andrew Wilson, had written their compositions as part of their GCSE music studies. They had no difficulty filling an hour's programme with high quality performances, impressing the large and appreciative audience.

The group were presented with gifts from the chairman of the Parkinson's Society to show their appreciation for the girls' enthusiastic performances.
