A GROUP of students from a West Devon charity held a successful fundraiser recently, raising hundreds of pounds for the mental health support service.

The group of four, Josie Stephenson, Phoebe Houlahan, Charlotte Troth and Beki Pilkington, held a bake sale, bric-a-brac stall and a raffle for Make a Difference community centre in Taylor Square, Tavistock, which supports people who suffer with or have suffered mental health illness.

The event raised £241.81 in just three hours, and raffle winners will be contacted soon.

Staff at Make A Difference expressed thanks to the group.

Anyone who would like to contact the charity to either do some volunteering or find out more about the facilities, contact Christine at [email protected]">[email protected] or call 01822 613746.
