THE Museum of Dartmoor Life is the latest organisation to benefit from Waitrose's Community Matters scheme.
The museum has been given £222 from the store, raised through their green token scheme.
Museum manager Andrew Thompson said: 'We are very grateful for the support of Waitrose, and very pleased to receive this money.'
The biggest project going on at the museum in recent weeks is an exhibition of art created by children from Okehampton Primary to remember the heroes of the First World War. The exhibition has been so successful it has been extended to run until Edwardian Evening on December 4.
Mr Thompson said: 'The footfall for the war exhibition has been really positive, and the quality of the work by the children is really excellent. We hope that by extending the exhibition until Edwardian Evening, even more people get a chance to see it.'
The museum will be open on Edwardian Evening for people to see the exhibition and for lucky children to meet Father Christmas.
